5th Annual Galax Book Festival - June 10-11, 2011
JUNE, 2011 - The 5th Annual Galax Book Festival, "Authors on Grayson" was held June 10th and 11th as part of the Leaf & String Festival in downtown Galax, Virginia. Over 30 authors were seated under the Authors Tent on Grayson Street in front of Chapters Book Store (pictured on left) to meet people, talk about books and writing, and have copies of their books for sale.
Cedar Creek author, Becky Mushko, was at the event promoting her latest middle-grade novel, Stuck and her children's book Ferradiddledumday.

Senior Center Outreach
May, 2011 -- JUNE WIEHE gave a "Pet Chat & Memoir Writing" talk at the Fluvanna County Senior Center in Fork Union, VA on May 24. This event and a "Haiku Writing Workshop" by LYNN YOUNG at the Center on April 27, are the beginning of a series of literary presentations Cedar Creek authors will be giving to local senior centers and nursing homes.
