Lauvonda Lynn (Meade) Young currently resides in Palmyra, Virginia, with her husband Larry Lee Rubendall, her cat, Shadow Dancer, and a humungous collection of books. Her poetry has appeared in The Piedmont Writer, Branches in My Hand, The Blue Ridge Anthology, and A Poem for Your Thoughts.
Linda's first book of poetry, prose and homespun recipes, Just A Woman, was launched on Saturday, March 19, 2011 during the Virginia Festival of the Book in Charlottesville, Virginia at the "Publishing Day Book Fair" at the Cedar Creek Publishing booth.
She will be taking part in a special book tour called, "Three Broads Talk Poetry," featuring two other Cedar Creek authors and their books: Linda Levokove (Walk on the Heart Side) and Elizabeth Solomon (The Steering Wheel Poems). Together, these ladies will discuss the inspiration, the process and the purpose behind their writing.
