The Festival is now the largest educational book event in the mid-Atlantic, drawing a cumulative annual attendance of more than 20,000.

This year hundreds of authors, illustrators, storytellers, and other publishing professionals in every genre are
participating, including C. J. Box, Douglas Brinkley, 1968 Olympian Dr. John Carlos, Frank Deford, John Grisham,
Jane Leavy, The Honorable John Lewis (D-GA), Betty Shotton, U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Tretheway,
